NGC at Tribal Leaders Summit
September 10 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Native Governance Center will attend the Tribal Leaders Summit, hosted by United Tribes Technical College, in partnership with the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board, in September. NGC will have a table with information about our programming, some swag, and a giveaway. We will also be hosting a session, “Supporting Native Civic Engagement Through Community-Led Facilitation.” We hope you’ll join the session or stop by our table to say han, boozhoo, or hi!
Our presentation, “Supporting Native Civic Engagement Through Community-Led Facilitation,” focuses on sharing insights from our recent work, ranging from Tribal election candidate forums to advisory committees working with federal agencies. We know that community-centered facilitation strengthens Native civic engagement and supports Native-centered decision-making. This session explores best practices for engaging American Indian citizens and for creating processes rooted in honoring sovereignty.
