NGC at Indigenous Peoples Summit

Native Governance Center will be attending the Indigenous Peoples Summit from September 10-12 in Omaha! The summit serves as a platform to advance the implementation of Indigenous rights, particularly the rights to self-determination and self-government, as affirmed in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Grounded in Native nation rebuilding, this event will work towards moving from vision to action while celebrating the diversity of Indigenous cultures across Turtle Island.

Throughout the week, NGC will be in attendance to connect, discuss, and learn. We will also be presenting a session on Native nation rebuilding; additional information to be added soon. Our staff is looking forward to sharing this space and to connecting with other Indigenous peoples and organizations interested in supporting and sustaining sovereignty!
