Alexandera is a citizen of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. She grew up in southern Wisconsin but moved home to the reservation in 2017. She is currently serving her community by supporting Tribal food sovereignty efforts at Gitigaaning, the Tribal farm as well as by serving on her Tribe’s Economic Development Committee. She’s passionate about outdoor recreating and is working to increase access to equipment and education for Native people. She’s an avid cyclist, competing in Ultra-Endurance mountain bike racing across the country. She is passionate about reclaiming her ancestral foodways, food security, and sovereignty, and increasing the representation of Indigenous people in outdoor spaces.
