Apryl is passionate about Indigenizing the future, learning about traditional Indigenous knowledge and practices, and doing her best to be a good relative by taking care of those around her. She values honesty, peace, respect, and humility. Apryl loves envisioning different ways for Native nations to thrive into the future; she appreciates her role at Native Governance Center because she’s able to dream. Apryl enjoys supporting elected Tribal leaders, Indigenous changemakers, and community members as they rebuild their Native nations. She brings a unique set of experiences to the job, including a background working with Indigenous nonprofits and Tribal colleges and universities. She also leverages her educational background in social work, American Indian/Alaska Native studies, and social entrepreneurship.
